Who We Are

Brock Gouweloos, Founder

A passionate environmentalist and guitar player. Brock's career has focused on supporting the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives into environmental policy making, working as a Senior Policy Advisor at Ontario's Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. He holds a master's degree in Public Administration from Queen's University. 

In 2019, Brock participated in the Canadian Conservation Corps program. As part of the program, he completed a volunteer placement with Parks Canada at Pacific Rim National Park Reserve on Vancouver Island. The idea of Tuffocean was born during this time. 

Brock has played guitar for over 15 years with a mix of classic and modern influences. He plays both acoustic and electric guitar, and enjoys writing music as well. 

Aside from music, Brock enjoys travelling, hiking, swimming and watching soccer and hockey.
